[Update: Sep 14] Fortnite Season 8 bug where players can't purchase 25 Battle Pass levels acknowledged, workaround inside

Original story (published on September 13, 2021) follows:

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8, titled as Cubed, came out pretty recently. It includes a new dark reality called The Sideways along with several new tools and much more.

However, Fortnite Chapter 2 players have been facing a couple of issues with the Season 8 Battle Pass.

As per several reports, Fortnite players who purchased a discounted levels pack last season are unable to purchase the same in the latest one.

It seems the 25 Battle Pass levels pack might be bugged in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 which is inconveniencing players as they can’t buy it.

On the other hand, some Crew members have been reporting that they did not receive Battle Pass after launching the game.

It is unclear what the exact cause of these issues is but reports regarding them surfaced after Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 went live.

However, affected players may not have to contend with these problems for long as Fortnite support has acknowledged them.

It seems Epic Games is aware of the aforementioned issue and is already working on the fix. Also, Fortnite support has shared temporary workarounds for the affected players.

Those who wish to buy 25 Battle Pass levels in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 at the discounted price can do so by heading over to the Battle Pass section then manually purchasing 25 levels from the Buy levels menu.

In the mean time you can purchase 25 levels at the same discount by going into “Buy levels” menu from the Battle Pass screen

Apart from that, some affected Crew members may be able to receive Battle Pass by restarting Fortnite. Thus be sure to give these workarounds a go until Epic Games releases a proper fix for the aforementioned issues.

Some Crew members may not receive Battle Pass when launching the game. We’re working on a fix.

For some players, this can be fixed by restarting the game.

Hopefully, the game developer will fix both the issues soon so that Chapter 2 players can enjoy Season 8 without any hiccups.

IST 1:32 pm: Fortnite has just confirmed that the issue with purchasing of the 25 Battle Pass levels pack has now been resolved.
