Adobe Photoshop bagged the update to version 22.5 back in August but the latest update appears to be doing more harm than good.

To recall, users were unhappy with the removal of Spherical Panorama and other 3D features whereas Mac users were facing lag issues while using the Patch and Lasso selection tools after the Adobe Photoshop 22.5 update.

Now, another issue with Adobe Photoshop appears to be troubling users and it seems the culprit behind this one is also the latest update.

As per several reports, the Neural filter (colorize filter) is not working in Adobe Photoshop after the update to version 22.5.

Reports indicate that users are unable to modify the colors at specific parts in their image and are getting the “we’ve temporarily disable filter because of an error” message.

This further indicates that the latest update i.e., version 22.5, might have broken the Neural (colorize) filter in Adobe Photoshop.

However, affected users may not have to face the issue where the Neural filter is not working in Adobe Photoshop 22.5. This is because the engineering team at Adobe is aware of the problem and is working on a fix.

Also, the Adobe Employee who acknowledged the issue has provided a workaround which involves downgrading Adobe Photoshop to version 22.4.3.

This appears to be resolving problems with the Neural filter for several affected Adobe Photoshop users. Thus be sure to try this workaround if you are also experiencing issues with the Neural filter.

A proper fix for the aforementioned problem is still required which might arrive soon now that the issue has been acknowledged.

However, this is still based on speculation as no ETA for a fix has been provided in the acknowledgement by the Adobe Employee.

Hopefully, Adobe rectifies the problem and soon releases a proper fix for the affected Adobe Photoshop users.

That said, we will report back with more stories related to Adobe Photoshop and other products from the vendor as and when new info emerges.
