MLB The Show 21 is a brand new video game by San Diego Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment that released a few days ago.

Even though it’s fresh out of the oven, it seems that many players are facing issues as MLB The Show 21 is apparently down.

Down detector – a popular service that gives information about live outages – also had a massive spike in the number of reports that indicated MLB The Show 21 is down or not working.

In case you too aren’t able to play the game, don’t fret.

The team has shared a message on Twitter confirming that server maintenance is scheduled for today.

Server maintenance is scheduled at 4 AM PT on Friday 4/23/21. Please complete all games prior to that time. Thank you. (Source)

Just about every online game undergoes server maintenance from time to time. Once the maintenance is taken care of, you should be able to play MLB The Show 21 as usual.

As usual, we’ll post an update if and when there are any further developments regarding the problem with MLB The Show not working.

It’s time for maintenance.

Server maintenance is scheduled at 4 AM PT on Saturday 5/1/21. Please complete all games prior to that time.

Update 3 (June 22, 2021)

IST 13:12 pm: New reports now indicate that MLB the show is down once again. Twitter has seen a sharp rise in the number of reports over the past few hours. We shall continue to keep an eye and update back as and when we get more info so stay tuned.

Update 4 (June 23, 2021)

IST 11:30 am: The server issues were resolved a few hours ago and the services are back online according to information shared via the official MLB The Show Twitter account.

Update 6 (September 10, 2021)

IST 11:02 am: A flurry of new reports on social media platforms indicates that MLB the Show servers might be down as players are experiencing widespread outages.

DownDetector also shows a sharp spike in the number of reports over the past few hours. We shall continue to keep an eye on this and update as and when we get new info so stay tuned.

Update 7 (October 09, 2021)

IST 11:28 am: MLB The Show 21 players have taken to Twitter to report that the game servers are down and not working.

The developers are yet to acknowledge the outage. That said, we’ll post an update if and when there are any further developments regarding the problem.

Update 8 (April 1, 2022)

10:01 am (IST): User reports on Twitter and Downdetector now suggest that MLB The Show is down or not working for many.

The support team hasn’t yet acknowledged the issue, however, we’ll report back as and when anything noteworthy comes up.

04:22 pm (IST): It appears that the recent outage with MLB The Show has been resolved as we haven’t come across any fresh user reports on Downdetector.

Update 9 (June 3, 2022)

10:11 am (IST): Many users are now reporting (1, 2) that MLB The Show is currently down or not working for them.

07:00 pm (IST): User reports on Downdetector now suggest that the recent outage with MLB The Show has been resolved.

Update 10 (July 27, 2022)

05:20 pm (IST): According to reports on Twitter and Downdetector, MLB The Show is currently down or not working for many.

06:55 pm (IST): Diminishing reports on Downdetector indicate that the recent outage with MLB The Show has now been fixed.

06:23 pm (IST): Many gamers are now reporting (1, 2) that MLB The Show 22 is currently down or not working for them.

However, the support team had already informed players that there is scheduled server maintenance, which is why the game is down for many.

06:54 pm (IST): According to reports on Downdetector, the recent issue with MLB The Show 23 has now been resolved.

08:40 am (IST): Many frustrated viewers have flooded Twitter with reports saying MLB The Show servers are down and not working for them. The outage appears to have started a few hours ago.

Luckily, several new tweets indicate that the outage has indeed been fixed for a majority of users. However, some individuals claim otherwise.

08:18 am (IST): MLB The Show 23 players report a server outage (1, 2, 3). The dev team has acknowledged the issue and is working on a fix, but there is no ETA yet.

10:00 am (IST): The dev team confirmed that the server issues have been fixed.

08:24 am (IST): MLB The Show 23 servers were completely down until a few minutes ago. Although they were already partially fixed, the co-op mode is still unavailable (1, 2, 3).

01:30 pm (IST): MLB The Show 23 co-op mode is now available again for all players.

05:24 pm (IST): Acording to fresh reports (1, 2, 3), MLB The Show 23 servers are currently down or not working for a section of players.

However, it turns out that servers are down due to maintenance and the support team had already informed about it on their official Twitter handle.

Server maintenance is scheduled for 4 AM PT on 4/26/22. Please complete all games prior to that time. Thank you. (Source)

12:00 pm (IST): The recent server maintenance has now ended and the game should now be accessible to all players.

05:00 pm (IST): MLB The Show servers are currently down due to scheduled maintenance to deploy an update with some fixes.

05:22 pm (IST): The latest server maintenance has already ended.

08:49 am (IST): Multiple MLB The Show 23 players report that the game servers are currently down or not working (1, 2).

11:02 am (IST): MLB The Show 23 is now available again as the server issues were fixed.

08:31 am (IST): MLB The Show 23 players are currently unable to access the game due to error code 0x87dd0033 (1, 2, 3, 4).

03:50 pm (IST): Apparently, the annoying MLB The Show 23 ‘0x87dd0033’ error code has already been resolved by the dev team.

07:52 am (IST): Nintendo Switch players are reporting that they are unable to play online modes, fortunately the support is already aware and are working on a fix.

12:30 pm (IST): The play online mode for Nintendo Switch players has not yet been resolved, although support has confirmed that a small update will be released today to address this issue.

05:37 pm (IST): The update is now available, to install it on Switch, players needs to go to MLB The Show 20 on game selection screen->Press “+” -> Select “Software Update” -> Select “Via the internet”.
