Original story (published on July 9, 2021) follows:

Magic: The Gathering Arena (aka MTG Arena) has a pretty decent player base across Android, iOS, and Microsoft Windows.

However, players have been facing some issues with MTG Arena lately. So, let’s take a look at these issues one at a time:

MTG Arena unable to login error

As per multiple reports, players are getting the ‘Unable to login’ message after launching MTG Arena.

The issue appears to be widespread but Wizards of the Coast has not acknowledged the same on a wider scale.

However, those who are getting the ‘Unable to login’ message are being advised to raise a ticket regarding the problem.

Battlefield shaking more than intended

Multiple players are reporting about the issue where the intensity of the battlefield shake effect is more than intended.

This is further making it hard to play MTG Arena as the said shake effect intensity quite high even when it is being set to low.

However, Wizards of the Coast support has acknowledged the said issue and are working to fix it soon.

MTG Arena Search of Forests bug

According to multiple reports, there is a bug which is affecting the second chapter of Binding the Old Gods where players are unable to search for Triomes (Forests).

The new update broke Binding the Old God’s second ability. It no longer lets you select Forests.

The problem is affecting many as they are unable to add the Triomes (Forests) from the said Binding the Old Gods chapter into the battlefield.

This bug has also been acknowledged by support and a fix for the same is being looked into.

While it is good to see that Wizards support has acknowledged most of the issues, there’s no ETA for the said fixes.

That said, we will keep tracking this for further development and will report back when we get more details.

Update 1 (August 25)

01:25 pm (IST): A fresh update has recently gone out after a recent maintenance to fix a few issues. However, the patch notes aren’t live yet and as such, we can’t tell whether this issue is addressed.
