Google Forms are undoubtedly one of the best things the company has come up with in the last few years.

Having said that, Google regularly improves the product and works on bringing new features. One of the most anticipated features users have been asking for is the ability to save their form progress as a draft.

And it looks like Google has finally made this wish come true. The company is rolling out a new feature that automatically saves text, selections, and other progress when users fill out a form.

Moreover, the feature also expands and saves quiz or quiz assignments in Classroom. All the entered information is saved in the form of a draft.

The “Saving” indicator can be spotted along with a cloud icon on the top of the form. However, keep in mind that users will be required to sign in with their Google account before any progress can be saved.

Suppose you want to find a draft that has been autosaved by Google Forms, simply reopen the URL using the same Google account you used to fill out the form, and it’s done. All your previously entered information will be there.

If you want to clear all the answers on the form, just scroll to the bottom of the form and click on the “Clear Form” button.

In case you don’t want to use the feature, users can disable it by navigating to Google Forms Settings> Presentation> Restrictions and click on the “Disable autosave for all respondents” option.

With some Google Forms spanning pages, we are sure that users will love the new feature that saves responses in the form of a draft.
