There are new updates that have been added at the bottom of this story…

Original story (from January 07) follows:

The website of SimFileShare, a file hosting service for players of The Sims series, is currently down. If you try opening the site, you’ll find it’s completely inaccessible – you get “504 Gateway Time-out” error.

Of course, this is affecting users of the service, or simmers (as they are popularly known). Several of them are taking to online platforms like Twitter to share their experience. Take a look:

If you take a look at the official SimFileShare Twitter handle, you’ll see the service acknowledged an uploading issue on December 31, but has been quiet since then.

And going by some of the user reports, it appears the site has also been down since then.

Even the service’s Tumblr account hasn’t posted any update on this issue.

Anyway, we are keeping an active tab on the matter, and will update this story as and when we come across more news worthy stuff. Meanwhile, use the comments section below to share your thoughts on this ongoing problem and SimShareFile in general.
