The Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro is nearly a 2-year-old device now but is still a decent buy by today’s standards, that is, if you manage to get a hold of it at the right price.

Its Snapdragon 845 cum Adreno 630 chipset will not only ensure smooth day to day operations but also a superior gaming experience.

The only couple of things that are reminiscent of the 2018 era of smartphone design are a huge notch that eats up a large chunk of the top of the display and the mediocre-sized 3000mAh battery.

Anyway, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro was launched with Android 8.1 Oreo and has since been updated to Android 10 layered with MIUI 12 atop.

The device is nearing the end of its software update support but the epilogue won’t be transpiring until the device gets at least another MIUI upgrade.

You see, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro has always been eligible for the MIUI 12.5 update. So it wasn’t a matter of ‘if’, but a matter of ‘when’.
