Fox Sports is one of the biggest names when it comes to sports channels.

Owned by Fox Corporation and The Walt Disney Company, the channel is available worldwide and broadcasts numerous sports and events.

Having said that, it is quite rare for a company this large to encounter any issues. But, sometimes, things go downhill real quick.

When Fox Sports was broadcasting the MLB All-Star games, several users reported that they were having some sort of issue with 4K streaming.

The problem is not limited to a region but appears to be affecting people worldwide. This has ruined the game for people who wanted to enjoy it on the big screen.

As it turns out, numerous viewers have complained of not being able to watch the game in 4K. Instead, they are stuck with 1080p.

Question- Why can I watch the #MLBallstargame in 4K via the @FOXSports app on my TCL 6 Series/Roku, but not on my Samsung Q80T that actually supports HLG? It’s only a 1080 stream.

@YouTubeTV you advertised the mlb all star game as 4k and it’s only streaming in 1080p on the 4k channel and 720p in regular fox sports. Why do you hurt me so?

Others have reported that the color balance was off when watching the game, with some yellow and green tint, while others say the image was washed out.

People are also frustrated over the audio and say that all they could hear was the announcer and a beeping noise.

As it turns out, Fox Sports was not recording in 4K. According to Fox Sports Vice President Brad Cheney, Fox did not use any native 4K cameras.

Instead, the whole thing was shot on 50 1080p HDR cameras and then upscaled to 4K HDR.

Moreover, the 4K streaming bug is exclusive to Fox Sports since no other 4K programs have the same issue.

Allegedly, the company says it is aware of the issue and is working on finding a solution. However, they haven’t provided any ETA for the resolution.
