In the past several months and at the height of the whole global crisis that is COVID-19, many people have found themselves working from home or spending a lot more time indoors.

This has led to the rise in popularity for services like streaming platforms and similarly, we’ve seen a rise in the whole gaming sphere.

saints row 3 in-post

One of these popular games is Saints Row, a series of action-adventure video games created by Volition and published by THQ and Deep Silver.

The series follows the 3rd Street Saints, a fictional street gang originally operating out of the Saint’s Row district, hence the series’ title.

Now, players of this game’s third remaster, Saints Row: The Third (SR3 Remaster), are reportedly facing an issue with their gameplay, especially on the PS4 and the PS4 Pro.

According to players of the game, Saints Row SR3 has an issue that leaves users unable to load any saves on their PS4 and PS4 Pro, along with an issue that causes the Saints Row game to stay loading infinitely without proceeding as showing in this user-shared video.

Me and my friend are trying to play co op but every time he tries to load Into the game he gets stuck on an infinite loading screen and it’s making it unplayable. On ps4. Making me upset because I bought it for him and talked it up so much as I wanted to introduce him to it but all he can experience is game-breaking glitches. Any info is appreciated.

Just purchased this game during the PS4 sale and it’s actually unplayable. Trying to load my save and I’m getting the endless Saints Row loading screen while the music plays. From what I can tell, this apparently has been going on for quite some time? This game needs to be delisted from the PlayStation store. It’s a fucking scam at this point.

I recently picked up saints row 3 remastered on ps4, yesterday I was playing a mission and I could not complete it and closed the application mid-way. When I try to start the game it does not load, I waited for 20 minutes and it’s still not loading. I’ve tried restarting my console. Any help is much appreciated?

Affected users note that nothing they do in form of basic troubleshooting seems to yield any relief. This has gotten so bad that some users are even asking for a refund as this game doesn’t work as expected.

Has anyone been able to successfully get a refund through Sony for this terrible excuse for a port. Game constantly crashed when trying to do the find kinzie mission. Has soon as I get on the barge the sound goes and the game just locks up. Totally unplayable.

In response to one of these user complaints, Volition, the developers of Saints Row note that they’re aware of this and in line with that, they’re working on a fix.

We are – the team at Spreasoft (who remastered it) are working on it.

A player on Reddit seems to have gotten the game to load game save and the workaround suggested involves loading the game via continue. This has reportedly worked without a problem and as such, it might be possible that the first save slot has some issue.
