Update 2 (March 6, 2024)

Some Rainbow Six Siege players (1,2,3,4,5) have been unable to open the Alpha Packs for a few hours. While there’s no official acknowledgement yet, it’s likely that the issue will be resolved soon.

Update 1 (July 01, 2021)

Ubisoft support has confirmed the issue has been resolved.

We are aware of issues with the Premium Battle Pass and Alpha Packs and these should now have been resolved.

Thank you for your patience and if there’s anything else we can help with, please let us know!

Original story (published on June 30, 2021) follows:

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is a popular online shooter game and it has been around numerous platforms since 2015.

Also, the game was ported for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S back in December 2020. However, players have been facing an issue with Rainbow Six Siege lately.

As per multiple reports, players are unable to open the Alpha and Esports packs in Rainbow Six Siege after the latest update.

It seems players are getting the ‘Alpha Pack Error’ or ‘Siege Esports Pack Error’ while opening the said packs.

Many players have been reporting about the said issue which clearly shows that it is widespread.

Moreover, players have already tried generic troubleshooting like restarting the game and device to no avail.

Even uninstalling and reinstalling Rainbow Six Siege does not appear to be solving the problem for affected players.

However, some did point out that waiting it out might fix the ‘Alpha Pack Error’ or ‘Siege Esports Error Pack’ on Rainbow Six Siege.

While this is not exactly a workaround and more like a hit or miss solution, it does appear to be doing the trick for some.

On the other hand, one of the affected Rainbow Six Siege players said that heading over to the battle pass section and claiming the Alpha pack worked for them.

Since Ubisoft hasn’t made any comments on the matter yet, it is unclear whether a fix is being looked into or not.

So, if you are also facing the said issue then be sure to try claiming the said packs from the battle pass section.

However, there is always the other option of waiting it out until it gets resolved on its own like for others or Ubisoft fixes it for good.

That said, we will report back with more details as and when we get new information to share so stay tuned.
