The Motorola One Action launched with Android 9 Pie onboard, then picked up Android 10 last year, and has been in line to get its second and final OS update which will be Android 11.

This is because the Lenovo-owned smartphone maker only seeds two major OS updates for most of its smartphones while some such as those in the ‘G’ series only get one major OS update.

If you think that’s disappointing, you’ll be shocked to know that Motorola hasn’t been seeding even a single major OS update for its ‘E’ series phones.

But that’s a rant for another day. Coming back to the Motorola One Action, we had reported that the company had begun soak testing Android 11 for the device in some regions.

This indicated that the company was preparing to release the new Android OS for the device soon. However, there was no proper ETA for the rollout.

Now, new developments suggest that Motorola has indeed started rolling out the Android 11 update for the One Action.

Responding to a user’s query regarding the availability of Android 11 for the device in India, a senior Motorola agent confirmed that the update has started hitting units in Brazil.

Do note that the update is rolling out in batches and won’t be available for everyone immediately. This is usually the case for all Android updates.

Motorola even began rolling out Android 11 for the One Hyper last month. Hence, it was only a matter of time before the Motorola One Action also picked up the update to Android 11.

The company is yet to update its official software update tracker to reflect the rollout of the new Android OS for the device in Brazil.

Having said that, now that the Android 11 update is making its way to Motorola One Action users in Brazil, it won’t be long before users in India and other countries get it too.

So stay tuned to our dedicated tracker to know more about the availability of Android 11 for all eligible Motorola smartphones.
