Incoming is a service outage alert!

Is Sky Mobile network down, and not working for you? Please be informed that the service is seemingly going through an outage in some regions which has got affected users to route to micro-blogging site Twitter and other online discussion platforms to highlight their concern.

A quick look at Down detector – a service that gives a realtime overview of outages and other issues – reflects Sky Mobile is encountering a glitch in regions. Here’s a live outage map showcasing the same:

Coming to whether there’s an official word on the matter, SkyHelpTeam on Twitter has acknowledged the issue saying:

I’m sorry you’ve been affected by this, our support teams are looking into the issue and will have everyone up and running again ASAP.

We’re aware of an issue affecting Sky Mobile services and hope to have this resolved ASAP.

We’ll update this page with relevant info as and when we catch hold of any. In case you’re facing the problem discussed here, stay tuned for more updates.

Update 1 (April 15, 2021)

While the problem has been acknowledged, the team is now investigating if the outage is widespread.

We have raised this to our tech teams to see whether this is a wider outage. As soon as we have further updates, we will make our customers aware of this.

FYI, the service outage isn’t affecting calling only, but messaging as well (using the mobile data).

Update 4 (May 15, 2021)

Sky help has officially confirmed an outage due to a break in the cable in Yorkshire & the Humber area.

Hi there, thank you for your tweet. We’re aware of a broadband issue in the Yorkshire & Humber area. This has been caused by a fibre cable break and engineers are onsite working to get this fixed ASAP. As soon as we have an update, we will post an update to our Twitter page.

Update 5 (April 25, 2023)

According to reports, a number of users (1,2,3,4,5) are reporting an issue that’s affecting the Wi-Fi calling functionality. Fortunately, Sky Help Team has acknowledged the issue and said that they are working towards a fix.

Update 6 (May 10, 2023)

1:30 pm (IST): Reports on Twitter (1,2,3) indicate that the Sky TV service is currently down and not working.

5:30 pm (IST): The issue has been resolved.

Hi there, we are aware of an issue that impacted some of our Sky Customers tonight. This has since been under investigation with our technical team and has now been resolved. (Source)

Update 7 (May 16, 2023)

07:00 pm (IST): Reports coming in from Twitter (1, 2) and Downdetector can confirm that Sky is experiencing an outage as of this writing. Luckily, Sky support has acknowledged it, but there’s no ETA for the fix.

There is a known issue with Sky Mobile at the moment that our teams are aware of and working to resolve. Service will be restored as soon as possible.

Update 8 (June 30, 2023)

04:37 pm (IST): Sky Mobile users are reporting a new broadband and mobile service outage (1, 2, 3, 4), but the support team confirmed that they are already working on resolving it.

08:40 am (IST): The issue appears to have been resolved as related reports have been stopped.
