New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on May 07, 2021) follows:

Fallout 76 recently picked up a new update that brought a bunch of new stuff including new character builds using the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Loadouts feature.

That said, it appears there’s a major bug in the game that’s ruining the gameplay experience for players across the board.

Many players have stormed Reddit and Twitter to report or seek help regarding the enemy respawn bug in Fallout 76.

We’ve shared some reports from users below for reference:

since patch 27 the respawn of the mobs is an issue, after someone kill all the obs it takes way too long for them to respawn. just now i had to fast travel to 4 locations to kill 15 scorched and complete the challenge. (Source)

The respawn rate of enemies in @Fallout 76 is ruining this mole miner event. I was in one world where everything was dead. Every location just dead bodies, dropped loot or nothing there. (Source)

Taking 2 hours to level up because I can’t find a location with enemies to farm is killing my vibe, man. Thank you, kindly. (Source)

As highlighted by the reports, Fallout 76 players have noticed that there’s something off with the respawn rate of enemies in the game as they’re only a few or none of them at all.

It has been days since the issue was first noticed and players on all platforms have confirmed that they’re experiencing the problem.

Unfortunately, Bethesda is yet to fix the problem. However, the team has acknowledged the problem and has confirmed they’re working on a fix via Twitter and through the official community forums.

We’re actively working to resolve the issue with enemies not spawning/respawning correctly, and we’re looking to roll that out as soon as we can once the fix is in. We are also investigating community reports of reduced weapon condition, but I don’t have much more information to share on that one just yet. (Source)

There’s currently no ETA for the fix, meaning that players may have to deal with the enemy respawn bug in Fallout 76 for a bit longer.

Character disconnection bug

A Bethesda community manager has also shared details on a bug in Fallout 76 that results in disconnections when players attempt to log in with one of their characters.

According to the information shared by the community manager, this bug is only affecting a limited number of players (around 100).

The team’s testing also indicates that the bug is related to the impacted character having items in its inventory that are duplicates, as a result of exploits.

That said, in case you’re one of the unfortunate ones who keeps getting disconnected when trying to log in with one of your characters in Fallout 76, don’t fret, as a fix is already in the works.

As usual, we’ll post an update if and when there are any further developments regarding the enemy respawn issue and character disconnection issue in Fallout 76.

Update 1 (May 08)

12:05 pm (IST): A Bethesda community manager has acknowledged the issue with the Treasure Hunter Mole Miners due to the enemy respawn bug and has confirmed that the team is going to hold another Treasure Hunter weekend to help make things right.

Unfortunately, there’s still no ETA for the fix which is still in testing but the individual claims that it should be out sooner than the patch scheduled for later this month.

Apart from this, the team has acknowledged another bug that causes the game to crash on entering Atom Shop and has confirmed that a fix for it is in the works.

Thanks for the added info, everyone. We’re working on tracking down what may be causing the crash. In the meantime, can you please also try clearing out your “Associated Media” folder. It may be in a folder path that looks similar to this:

C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Fallout76\associated_media

Update 2 (May 11)

03:42 pm (IST): Bethesda confirmed that it released a hotfix update for the character disconnection issues at 4 pm (ET), however, at 7 pm (ET) stated that the hotfix was reverted since it still did not address some instances that could still result in disconnects for characters on login.
