Google Meet wasn’t the quickest to make most of the transition-to-online phase but has definitely left a lot of similar online meeting apps behind.

With an aim to provide a seamless online platform for meetings and classes, Google is consistently making Google Meet better with routine updates.

In its recent update, Google Meet has been equipped with a bunch of new features, making the app and desktop version more convenient for professional usage.

Apart from the visual and engaging changes, the more highlighting feature is the new way of auto zooming to get a better view of the participants.

To reduce the clutter in the background, Google has put in place the Autozoom feature with the new update which allows others in the meeting to zoom in on you.

In addition, we’re introducing another feature powered by AI called Autozoom, which helps others see you more clearly by zooming in and positioning you squarely in front of your camera. Autozoom will be available to Google Workspace (paid) subscribers in the coming months.

The newly introduced Google Meet feature is definitely a plus but the only downside here is that it will only be limited to the Google Workspace subscribers, requiring you to spend some bucks.

The introductory page didn’t talk about the wider availability of this feature so all we can do is hope that Google democratizes this feature soon, allowing regular Google Meet users to utilize it without having to pay for it.

Even though the features have been teased, the said update will only begin to air in the coming months.

Now that the world relies heavily on online platforms, we will have more innovations and unique features coming in.
