Original story (from April 10) follows:

Several Call of Duty Mobile players are having trouble logging into their Activision account as it fails and instead throws an error that reads “Authorization error 5 1200”.

This error occurs randomly when the game is opened and loaded. Facers of the issue report that it has prevented them from playing the game for several hours now.

Moreover, users have already tried basic workarounds like restarting the game and whatnot but to no avail. The problem seems to have begun only recently, possibly after the latest Season 3 update.

However, it is unlikely that a bad game update is the culprit as the error seems to be more of a server-side issue. Still one can’t be too sure as of now.

Thankfully, the Call of Duty Mobile team is already aware of the same and is working on a fix as we speak.

Therefore, if you are one of the users facing the issue, then your best bet now would be to wait. Being a probable server-side issue means that it will get addressed without an app update or any intervention from your end.

It still makes sense to check that everything is proper at your end though. This can be done by ensuring that your Wi-Fi/internet is working properly and that your login credentials are proper.

Additionally, you can also try clearing the game’s cache or even re-installing the game if you have the time. Lastly, you can also refer to the YouTube video tutorial given below:

But if nothing seems to help, then your best bet would be to wait for CODM to resolve the glitch from their end.

With that being said, we will continue tracking the Call of Duty Mobile “Authorization error 5 1200” for further developments and will update this article accordingly. Hence you would want to stay tuned to PiunikaWeb.
