Original story (published on November 03, 2020) follows:

Koodo Mobile isn’t as large as some other mobile carriers in Canada, however, being a subsidiary of TELUS, Koodo has a strong presence all over the country.

Like other carriers in the country, Koodo also shares its software update plans with the public. Thus, it makes it a lot easier to know when to expect an update.

Previously, we covered the software update plans from Fido and TELUS for the month of November in Canada.

Today, we’ll be taking a look at the software update plans from Koodo for this month.

Most software updates come in the form of security patches or bug fixes. Therefore, there are no noticeable changes with every new software update.

And speaking of security patches, you may want to check out our September and October security update trackers to know if your device has bagged either of the two patches.

That being said, according to the official software update schedule shared by Koodo, a handful of devices will be getting new security updates and bug fixes this month.

Matter of fact, the Motorola Moto One Vision was expected to get a security update yesterday, i.e., November 2. It’s likely that the update is live already.

Unfortunately, we have not been able to independently verify the rollout since we have not come across user reports of the same.

Today (November 03), it’s expected that the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro, Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Samsung Galaxy Note 20, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will get new updates as well.

The Galaxy XCover Pro will only be getting a new security update and no further optimizations or bug fixes.

As for the Galaxy Note 9, the device will not be getting a new security patch, however, the update will bring some optimizations and bug fixes to the device.

The Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, on the other hand, will be getting the most out of the latest software update.

The upcoming update is expected to bring a new security patch, optimizations, and bug fixes to the two devices. Thus, you may not want to skip updating your phone with this build.

Do note that the software update schedule shared by Koodo was last updated on October 29.

Therefore, the carrier may add software update details for more devices that are getting updates in November in the following days or weeks.

As usual, we will post an update if and when Koodo shares any further details for software updates this month.

At present, no new device is expected to get the all-new Android 11 update in November from Koodo even though it was officially released in September.

Matter of fact, apart from the Google Pixel lineup, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are the only phones that have bagged the update to Android 11 on a wider scale.

So you can keep track of the rollout of Android 11 from all major OEMs and carriers via our dedicated tracker.
