[Update: Released] Cricket Wireless Moto G7 Supra Android 10 update expected but no ETA, says Motorola support

New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on August 13, 2020) follows:

Motorola is one of the household names in the U.S. budget smartphone market. The Lenovo-owned company has an abundance of affordable devices in the country ranging from $150 all the way to $500 and then some.

The Moto G series remains the go-to budget phone in the U.S. The latest in the series is the Moto G8 family. Although it has the most number of devices ever released in a year in the Moto G, not all of them are sold in the U.S.

Matter of fact, this has always been the case for Moto G devices. In other cases, the devices end up on various carriers under different names. Case in point is the Moto G7 Supra on Cricket Wireless.

A closer look at the Moto G7 Supra and you quickly notice the vast similarities with the Moto G7 Power. The two are identical but for the names. And given that the Moto G7 Power already bagged the update to Android 10, it was only a question of when and not if for the Moto G7 Supra.

Unfortunately, the actual rollout date of Android 10 on the Moto G7 Supra remains elusive. This is even after Motorola through the official Twitter account did reiterate that the device is indeed expected to receive Android 10 at some point.

Hi, Joshua. While we never share timing information, the Moto G7 Supra is expected to receive the Android 10 updates. Once it is available for your phone, you’ll be notified to install it. -Rica

With no actual date, the only thing is to wait until such a time when both parties involved see it fit to push Android 10 to the G7 Supra. As usual, we will keep an eye on the developments and let you know when the rollout begins.

Meanwhile, stay tuned to our Motorola Android 10 update tracker to know when the software arrives on your unit. Sure, the Moto G7 Supra won’t get any close to the official Android 11 update, but you can still check out our Moto Android 11 list of eligible devices to know your next Moto device.

      Update 1 (November 04)

It appears that the Android 10 update for the Motorola Moto G7 Supra from Cricket Wireless is finally getting the much-awaited update to Android 10. The update is rolling out as version QCO30.95-Q3-10-47 and carries the September patch.
