[Update: Released] U.S. unlocked Samsung Galaxy S10 One UI 2.5 update might arrive in October; S10 series in India gets it
This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..
Original story (published on September 09, 2020) follows:
Samsung has been providing its devices with the One UI 2.5 update since August. It was reported earlier that the OEM was testing One UI 2.5 on the Galaxy S10 series while test builds were also spotted after some time.
The Galaxy S10 series started receiving the One UI 2.5 update in Germany pretty recently along with the September security patch. This means that the OEM might start rolling out the update to the Galaxy S10 series devices across the globe soon.
As per recent reports, the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S10 series devices in the US might start receiving the One UI 2.5 update in October. This information comes from a conversation between a user and a Samsung executive.
It must be noted that the executive simply responded in affirmation to the user’s query about the update coming in October. Since the OEM has not made any official announcements on the matter yet, this information is as close to a confirmation as it gets.
Nevertheless, we would like to believe that One UI 2.5 is indeed coming to the unlocked Galaxy S10 series devices in the US in October. Moreover, the Indian Galaxy S10 series devices are already receiving the One UI 2.5 update with all the goodies.
This clearly shows that Samsung wants to deliver the latest software to its eligible devices as soon and efficiently as possible. That said, we will provide updates on the topic once more information becomes available.
Meanwhile, you can check out our One UI 2.5 update tracker to know when it arrives on your device. Also, Android 11 is already out and Samsung is also gearing up for it so be sure to go through our Samsung Android 11 (One UI 3.0) update tracker as well.
