Xiaomi is known for releasing multiple variants of its devices and the Mi 8 Pro (UD) is one such device. It was reported earlier that the Mi 8 Pro (UD) would receive the MIUI 12 update in mid-August.

As promised, Xiaomi released the MIUI 12 update for both the Mi 8 Pro (UD) and Mi 8 Explorer Edition in China. However, the Mi 8 Explorer Edition update version was not released for all users and the OEM re-released the MIUI 12 update as version

Similarly, the Mi 8 Pro (UD) started receiving the MIUI 12 version but now a new version is being rolled out to the device. The Mi 8 Pro (UD) MIUI 12 beta stable update version is now live for those still on MIUI 11 version

So, if you are a Mi Pilot program member, you can grab the update as it is live over the air. Alternatively, you can install the update manually as the download link is given below. However, refer to these workarounds in case you come across any errors while installing the update.

It must be noted that this MIUI 12 beta stable update is only meant for Mi Pilot program members and regular Mi 8 Pro (UD) users should wait for the stable version. Also, it is a Chinese ROM which means that it does not include any Google apps and services.
