New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on August 04, 2020) follows:

Xiaomi’s MIUI 12 skin is a major update and many devices across the globe have already bagged it. The OEM got over with the first round of the MIUI 12 update schedule while the second round is expected to begin this month.

A bunch of devices are slated to receive the latest custom skin but Xiaomi’s 2019 flagship, the Mi 9 has already bagged the update across many regions. We reported earlier that the European Mi 9 units received the MIUI 12 beta stable update version V12.0.0.9.QFAEUXM.

The Global and Russian Mi 9 units picked up the stable update after almost a month. Also, the Chinese variant bagged the latest custom skin back in June followed by another recent update. However, the Vodafone UK Mi 9 subscribers are yet to get the MIUI 12 stable update.

While there is no news on when this is going to happen, the network locked Mi 9 units are now receiving another MIUI 11-based update. A recent announcement on the Xiaomi community states that the update version V11.0.10.0.QFAEUVF is a beta stable update for the Vodafone Mi 9 units.

The update will be delivered to random users over the air and the public rollout will resume on a wider scale once the stability of the software has been ensured. Also, no changelog has been provided on the Xiaomi community so it’s unclear what the update is bringing along.

Well, it means that the MIUI 12 stable update is being worked upon for the Mi 9 Vodafone units and may get delayed. Nevertheless, no official announcements have been made either by the network service provider or the OEM yet.

Till then, we hope Vodafone UK Mi 9 subscribers get the latest custom skin soon. Meanwhile, you can check out our MIUI 12 update tracker to know when it arrives on your device.
