New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on August 12, 2020) follows:

Vivo has already released the stable Android 10 update for most of its eligible devices barring a few for which the company has released beta builds. However, there are still a handful of phones that have neither got the beta update nor the stable one.

One of these devices is the Vivo V11 Pro which is sold as the Vivo V11 in the Global market and as the Vivo X21s in China. Earlier, we reported that the Vivo V11 Pro will receive the Android 10 (Funtouch OS 10) update by August or September in India.

Thus, we have been expecting to see Vivo release the much-awaited update for the device soon. Well, it seems that Vivo V11 Pro users won’t have to wait much longer to experience Android 10 on their devices. This is because the Funtouch OS 10 update based on Android 10 is rolling out for the phone.

However, according to a user on Twitter who has received it, the update is under greyscale testing. Thus, the Android 10 update will not roll out to all Vivo V11 Pro users right away. Instead, the greyscale testing will continue for a couple of weeks.

This update comes as version 8.7.11 and the OTA download size is 3.29GB. Hence, we know that this software package brings a bunch of new additions. We’ve added the screenshot of the update below:

Similarly, even the Vivo V15 Android 10 update is currently under greyscale testing. Thus, once Vivo has determined that the update does not carry any major bugs, it should begin rolling out the stable update on a wider scale.

Unfortunately, Vivo has not yet made any official statement regarding the release of the Android 10 update for the Vivo V11 Pro in India yet. Therefore, we do not have an ETA for the arrival of the stable update.

As usual, we will continue to track the situation and will post an update once new information is available. Meanwhile, you can check out our Vivo Android 10 update tracker to know when the update arrives on your device.

Thank you, Aman, for sharing the screenshot and the information.

Update 1 (August 18)

The Android 10 update for the Vivo V11 Pro is still under greyscale testing and there’s no signs of the stable update. Further, Vivo has not shared an ETA for when users can expect to receive the update. For more details, head here.
