[Updated] Huawei EMUI 11 update release date: Magic UI 4.0 / Android 11 coming this quarter (Q3), exec reportedly says

New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on July 6, 2020) follows:

Huawei shows no signs of slowdowns even after companies from the US were forced to cut ties with it. The company still makes some of the best Android smartphones sans Google services. Moreover, the company is still pushing out OTA updates for its older hardware.

The Huawei P30, Mate 30, Nova 5T, Enjoy 10s & Honor 20 Lite were the latest phones to receive the Android 10 beta update alongside EMUI 10.1. Huawei is now planning to release the Android 11 update alongside EMUI 11 and Magic UI 4.0 soon.

According to recent reports from Weibo, Dr. Wang Chenglu, President of Huawei’s Consumer Business Software Department in an interview stated that EMUI 11 will roll out in Q3. This means that the update could be arriving sometime between July and September.
