As promised by Meizu, Flyme OS 8.1 (Android 10) internal beta update is now available for Meizu 16/16th, 16th Plus, 16s, and 16s Pro. However, Meizu Note8, Note9, 16T, 16X, 16S, and X8 are expected to receive the update by July-end.

The official internal beta update announcement confirms this and also outlines all the major changes and known issues for the released update. Some of the changes include the much-acclaimed Dark Mode from Android 10, overhauled music notifications, and other visual improvements.

The OEM has provided update instructions so that all users can easily install the update. Feedback can either be shared through the User Help app or via Meizu Customer Service.

Since this is a beta update, it is expected to be full of bugs, so be sure that you actually want to take this route because the software is not ready for use as a daily driver. That being said, Meizu users can expect a stable Android 10 based Flyme OS 8.1 update in a few weeks.
