The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro released in early 2019 and was one of the best devices in its respective price range. It came with the Snapdragon 675 SoC coupled with either 4GB or 6GB RAM. On the software end, it was running on Android 9 Pie alongside MIUI 11 out-of-the-box.

Of course, this meant that the Redmi Note 7 Pro would be getting Android 10. And indeed, the Android 10 update for the device began rolling out last month sans MIUI 12.

Speaking of which, Xiaomi already began testing MIUI 12 for the device along with a few other phones. However, the Mi Pilot test was for the Global variants of the Note 7 Pro. Thus, users in India have since been waiting to know when the stable MIUI 12 update will be arriving.

According to the member, Mi Pilot testers are testing MIUI 12 on the device. This is some positive information for users who are waiting for the update that will be based on Android 10. Further, the same member also confirmed his statement in another comment:

yes, Indian community recruited beta testers for Redmi Note 7 PRO and Global community recruited beta testers for Note 7 & 7S

Well, this new development suggests that the stable MIUI 12 update for the phone in India should not be far off. Sadly, there’s no ETA for it which means that it could take weeks or even a couple of months to arrive.
