Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 Android 10-based ZenUI port available (Download link inside)

The Asus ZenFone Pro Max M1 is one of many Android smartphones that are yet to receive the stable Android 10 update. The state of Android updates has improved a bit over the years. However, it’s still nowhere close to what Apple has to offer. Most vendors roll out only 2 or 3 Android version updates for their devices.

To add to the disappointment, even though some phones get 2-3 major Android updates, it arrives many months after the official release by Google. Therefore, there’s a lot for Google and Android vendors to work upon at present.

Asus is one of the many Android OEMs that are yet to release Android 10 for all eligible devices. Towards the beginning of 2020, the company released the Android 10 beta for the ZenFone Max Pro M1. But the stable build is yet to see the light of day on the ZenFone Max Pro M1 and the Max Pro M2.

While the official development continues, individual developers have taken on the task to bring Android 10 to the device as well. A new ZenUI port based on Android-10 is now available for ZenFone Max Pro M1 users to download. The information for the build was shared via this Telegram group.

Here are the details of the ported build:

      • Brand: ASUS

      • Build Date: 2020-07-14

Furthermore, you can take a look at the current changelog and known bugs present in the build:

As you can see, there are a few known issues with the current version of the port. However, there are several bugs present in the official beta version as well. We’ve previously reported on these bugs such as the rounded corner issue and the audio quality problem on the device.
