Huawei shows no signs of slowdowns even after companies from the US were forced to cut ties with it. The company still makes some of the best Android smartphones sans Google services. Moreover, the company is still pushing out OTA updates for its older hardware.

The Huawei P30, Mate 30, Nova 5T, Enjoy 10s & Honor 20 Lite were the latest phones to receive the Android 10 beta update alongside EMUI 10.1. Huawei is now planning to release the Android 11 update alongside EMUI 11 and Magic UI 4.0 soon.

According to recent reports from Weibo, Dr. Wang Chenglu, President of Huawei’s Consumer Business Software Department in an interview stated that EMUI 11 will roll out in Q3. This means that the update could be arriving sometime between July and September.

As expected, the internal test recruitment will kick-off before the stable version of the update is released for Huawei and Honor smartphones. The reports also suggest that Mate 30 series users will be the first to have a chance at testing the new software.

Huawei is set to unveil its EMUI 11/Magic UI 4.0 skin to the public during the Huawei Developer Conference which is scheduled to take place in China from September 10 to September 12. We may also see the announcement of the next HarmonyOS version.

IST 07:27 pm: Huawei is now beginning to recruit beta testers to check out new features on EMUI 10.1. Huawei P40, Mate 30, and MatePad Pro series device owners can register for the internal recruitment. The new features may be brought over to EMUI 11. For more details, head here.
