Xiaomi is on a roll! The company is updating a bunch of its smartphones released within a year or two with MIUI 12. The company’s latest skin over Android brings a ton of new features. Moreover, the redesigned UI elements are the most noticeable change.

A few devices such as the K20 series and the Mi 9 series from Xiaomi have picked up the MIUI 12 stable update. However, there’s still a long list of devices slated to receive the update soon.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 released back in 2018 with Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. And that it received the Android 10 update a few months ago.

Xiaomi updates its Mi series devices with two OS updates. And devices in the Redmi family with one OS update, although things might change in the Redmi series now that there are premium devices like Redmi K20 Pro and so on.

Up until now, it was not clear when the MIUI 12 stable update will be available for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. However, a comment by a Xiaomi moderator has shed some light on the matter. According to the mod, the Global Stable update may come out in a month or two.

Based on the information shared by the mod, users can expect the update to arrive by August. The Mi Mix 3 is part of the second batch of Xiaomi devices to receive the stable MIUI 12 update.

Interested users may also get to be part of the Mi Pilot test program to check out the MIUI 12 update on the Mi Mix 3. The Mi Pilot test program ensures no major bugs are left unnoticed before the public release.

The company’s budget Redmi Note 8 is also slated to receive the update within two months as we reported earlier. Therefore, if Xiaomi sticks to its plans, Mi Mix 3 users will get the MIUI 12 experience soon along with a few other devices. See an updated list here.
