After being under beta testing phase since April, OnePlus finally made the Android 10 (OxygenOS 10) stable update for OnePlus 5/5T in May 2020. However, this new OxygenOS 10 update took away OnePlus 5T full-screen gesture feature.

It was brought to light by OnePlus 5T users that this feature becomes unavailable after updating the device with stable Android 10/OxygenOS 10 update.

However, in the latest June 2020 Monthly FAQ session, OnePlus revealed its plans for bringing some new and old features back to its devices, including the full-screen gesture on OnePlus 5T.

Answering a query related to OnePlus 5T’s full-screen gesture this is what OnePlus replied (translated from Chinese):

Q: Can OnePlus 5T’s full-screen gesture operation add the bottom and return?
A: There is currently a plan for the full-screen gesture returned by the bottom of OnePlus 5T, which is expected to be launched in mid-July for refueling, so stay tuned!
