      Xiaomi Mi A2/Lite, Mi MIX 2S, Mi 9, Mi 9T Pro/Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi Note 8/Pro/8T, & Note 5/Pro get official TWRP 3.4.0 support

Rooting and Custom ROMs are quite popular with modders as it gives them more options than the usual stock Android. Also, many users often get bored using the OS on their devices and look to install Custom ROMs.

But one needs to have a Custom Recovery on their device to install a Custom ROM. Custom Recovery is a third-party recovery environment and when you flash your device with Custom Recovery, it replaces the Stock recovery environment shipped with the phone.

Two of the most popular Custom Recoveries are TWRP Recovery and ClockworkMod Recovery. Both of these custom recoveries allow users to create and restore device backups and install Custom ROMs, however, their interfaces are a little different.

Well, it is quite interesting to see that within a few days of release of TWRP 3.4.0, several Xiaomi and Redmi phones have received the official TWRP 3.4.0 support. Have a look at the list of phones down below along with their official announcement :
