This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..

Original story (published on June 26) follows:

Not sure why but European units of Xiaomi Mi 9T (aka Redmi K20) are now currently receiving MIUI 11-based May 2020 security update instead of the already available MIUI 12 update.

What’s interesting is that the MIUI 12 update for Europen variants of Mi 9T Pro has also been delayed due to unknown reasons. And by the looks of it, it seems like EU Mi 9T has also fallen prey to the same issue.

Matter of fact, both Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro received the MIUI 12 beta updates at the same time, and users were expecting to bag MIUI 12 stable update very soon.

Note that the Indian variant and the Chinese variant of Mi 9T, known as Redmi K20 has already grabbed MIUI 12 stable update and so has the Mi 9T Pro globally.
