Xiaomi is fresh from rolling out the stable MIUI 12 update to the Mi 9 in Europe and Mi 9T Pro units on the global ROM. The duo had already picked up the update back at home, where the latter goes by the name Redmi K20 Pro, the same as India.

With the software having just started rolling out, there are plenty of Mi 9 and Mi 9T Pro units out there yet to get a taste of MIUI 12. It may take some time before everyone gets it, but we already got your back with the download links for manual installation here.

If the much-touted Super Wallpapers is one of the reasons you can’t wait to upgrade your Mi 9 or Mi 9T Pro to MIUI 12, you might want to tone down your expectations. Apparently, someone who has received the new update says the feature is broken.

As you can see from the screenshot above, affected Mi 9 and Mi 9T Pro units on MIUI 12 are unable to download and install the Earth Super Wallpaper, but that’s not all. Others say they are unable to update the Mars Super Wallpaper on their updated Mi 9 or 9T Pro sets.

I can’t download the super wallpaper of earth on miui 12, could someone download it?

I would like to know, because of the error when updating Mars and installing Earth wallpaper.

I can not select the super home wallpaper (Earth) because it comes out that I must download, but it does not allow me, nor does it allow me to update the Mars super wallpaper

On the brighter side, a Mi forum moderator has chimed into the conversation, pointing out that Xiaomi is aware of this issue and that a fix is in the works. As for when exactly the fix will be pushed, no one knows, but it’s good to know that something is being done about it.
