Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro MIUI 12 update could be the next one for device
The MIUI 12 is pretty much the most hyped update that the users of the Xiaomi devices are waiting for, ever since its launch back on April 27, 2020.
Well, the hype is understood as the new iteration of Xiaomi’s MIUI 12 custom UI brings in tons of new features like enhanced protection, new Super Wallpapers (3D models of Earth and Mars), new animation, new icons, multitasking, ultra battery saver, Dark Mode 2.0, AOD, Dynamic weather and so on.
Just after a couple of weeks or so, after Xiaomi released the MIUI 12 roadmap for the Chinese devices, the global MIUI 12 update roadmap was released.
And as per that the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro both have been listed under Phase 2 of the rollout. Well, Phase 2 of the MIUI 12 rollout totally depends on how Phase 1 of the update pans out.
But, going by the recent comment by one of the Xiaomi device team members, there is some good news in store for the Redmi Note 5 Pro.
As per the comment, the next update that the Redmi Note 5 Pro will receive, is most likely going to be the MIUI 12 update. However, as you would expect, there is no official ETA available for the same.
Here is what the original comment reads:
Next update is most likely to be Miui 12 .
There is no date for it’s release.
This is some positive news for the Redmi Note 5 Pro users as the device is not eligible to receive the Android 10 update because it has already grabbed two OS updates in the form of Android 8 Oreo and 9 Pie.
Something similar has been coined by one of the Xiaomi super moderators regarding MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 5. As per the comment, the MIUI 12 update will be releasing soon, though there is no official date as such.
MIUI 12 will be released soon for Redmi Note 5
So, for the time being, at least there is some positive information available for both the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro regarding MIUI 12 update. We will keep you posted once something official directly from Xiaomi comes up in this regard.
