It’s not just HMD Global that had to revise its Android 10 update plans following the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak a couple or so months ago.

Initially, the Finnish company had promised to roll out the stable Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1 Android 10 updates in mid-Q2 2020. But in the revised roadmap, this was pushed back to anywhere between now and the end of June.

By the look of things, it seems those looking forward to the updates to roll out will have to wait a little longer. For now, the duo is receiving Android Pie-based May security patches.

The updates are available over the air to both handsets and sizeable compared to previous security patches, weighing in at over 105MB for the Nokia 5.1 and up to 120MB for the Nokia 3.1.

With only three or so weeks before the month comes to a conclusion, it shouldn’t be long before we start seeing Android 10 updates for the Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1 rolling out. We will let you know about it when the time comes.

The Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1 Android 10 updates will be the second and last major OS upgrades for the pair. However, they should continue receiving regular security patches for another year or so.
