Regular updates to smartphones are incredibly important. Other than the inherent benefits of fixing up security vulnerabilities within the system, they offer phone makers an avenue to build in more features onto the devices.

OnePlus’ OxygenOS is a favorite among many Android purists for its Stock Android look and feel, and the subtle yet useful tweaks that are built-in. The company has been steadfast in rolling out regular updates to its devices and today, the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T are getting an incremental update.

This is an incremental update on top of Android 10-based OxygenOS 10. This update packs a few enhancements for the OnePlus 6 and 6T as outlined in the following changelog.

• Updated launcher version to 4.1.6

• Updated Android Security Patch to 2020.05

• Improved system stability and fixed general bugs

• Fixed the issue with default country in assisted dialing when SIM2 is in roaming state

• Newly added Work-Life Balance to help prioritize notifications and allocate time wisely (India only)

• Newly added Epic Games in Game Space (India only)

The highlights of this OnePlus 6/6T May patch update is the fact that it brings with it the May 2020 Security patch level. It also adds Work-Life balance and Epic games, at least for users in India.

This update has already started rolling out to eligible devices and you can identify this build by its software version number OxygenOS 10.3.4.
