      New update alert: Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi 6A, Redmi 7, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy M10, Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G & Watch GT2e

      We should admire the efforts of all smartphones OEMs to hold their respective devices up-to-date in these unprecedented times. We see a bunch of the OEMs pushing the monthly or major updates every day, so we can use our phones to their maximum capacity.

      Here’s the list of smartphones getting their monthly and other updates:

      Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi 6A, and Honor 20i will pick up the security patches for May. The April OTA is pushed to Redmi 7, Redmi Notice 9 Pro Max, and Samsung Galaxy M10. Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G picks up EMUI 10.1, while Huawei Watch GT2e gets a firmware update.

      A detailed overview of the updates can be found below.

      Redmi 6 Pro & Redmi 6A

      Redmi has released the May OTA for both Redmi 6 Pro and Redmi 6A devices. Both of the updates ensure increased security for the devices.

      Redmi 6 Pro

      This monthly edition of OTA arrives with V11.0.7.0.PDMMIXM and is a whopping 1.8 GB update.

      Redmi 6A

      For Redmi 6A, the May patch comes with version 11.0.8.0, sized 246MB.

      Redmi 7 & Redmi Note 9 Pro Max

      The previously listed Redmi devices are already receiving the May update, while Redmi has pushed the April OTA to the Redmi 7 and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.

      Redmi 7
      With version V11.0.6.0.PFLINXM, the Redmi 7 will get the April security update. If your device runs on a Global Stable ROM, you’ll receive the update via OTA. Otherwise, you need to manually install it.

      Redmi Note 9 Pro Max

      Redmi note 9 Pro Max is getting its update with the build V11.0.2.0.QJXINXM. The increased security is promised with this update.

      Samsung Galaxy M10

      Samsung has added yet another device to the monthly upgrade list, i.e. Galaxy M10, which is receiving the April Security patch. This specific update would include bug fixes, improved protection, and better performance.It comes with the M105GDXU5BTC1/M105GOLE5BTC1 version and is 75.82MB in size.

      Honor 20i

      Honor 20i users are getting the May Security patch on their device as well. The update comes with the version 10.0.0.184(C675E9R1P3) and is 94.99MB in size.

      Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G EMUI 10.1 update

      This update includes EMUI 10.1, which is intended to provide the safer and higher efficiency system. This update also enhances user experience while clicking photos with high resolution. For this the build number is: 10.1.0.132(C00E130R5P3) and it is sized at 4.64GB which is massive.

      Huawei Watch GT2e

      Huawei Watch GT2e is getting a firmware update that includes a remote camera shutter capability, and also introduces a feature that will sense while you are working out and recognize the workout mode. The update arrives with version 1.0.2.18 (sized 17.56MB).
