We all eagerly wait for our devices to receive the updates, sometimes the monthly patches, and occasionally the major OS updates, like the recent update to Android 10. Checking social media platforms to see whether the upcoming update for our device has released, and if not, why so.

Fresh updates for the following smartphone range are now available: US Unlocked Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10, Sprint Galaxy S10, Nokia 7.1, Google Pixel phones, Motorola Moto G6 and Moto G7 Play, and Samsung HW-Q90R Soundbar.

Samsung is usually speedy at pushing the updates before the other OEMs. As of now, the US unlocked Note 10 and Galaxy S10 are getting the May security patches. Us carrier Sprint has released the April patch for Galaxy S10 though. Google Pixels devices are also leading the race with the May security patches.

Wherein Nokia 7.1 and Verizon Moto G6 and G7 Play are receiving the April OTA. Samsung q90r soundbar has also received a firmware update.

US unlocked Note 10

The May Security patch is out for US unlocked Note 10 devices which comes with the version number N975U1UES3CTD3 and N975U1OYM3CTD3. The size of this update is 215.90MB.

US unlocked Galaxy S10

Yet another Samsung device received the May security Patch with bug fixes and to improve the performance of the device. The Galaxy S10 receives the May security patch with the version number G975U1UES3DTD5 and G975U1OYM3DTD5, it weighs in around 201.50MB.

Sprint Galaxy S10

Sprint Galaxy 10 is receiving the April update, whereas other Samsung devices are way ahead receiving the May update. Anyhow the April update is here for Galaxy 10 users with the version number G975USQU3DTD4 and G975UOYN3DTD4. The size of the update is 205.68MB.

Nokia 7.1

Nokia being one of the major OEMs, is also frequently pushing the monthly OTAs for its devices. We can see every other day, there is an update available for one or the other Nokia device. The focus is on Nokia 7.1 this time. The size of this April update is merely 16.82 MB, and here’s the download link.

Google Pixels devices

It has been announced by the Google Pixel support team that the May security update is available for its devices, which are running on Android 10. The size of this update is about 7.70MB. It comes with bug fixes and improves the performance and stability of the device.

The OTA update will roll out in phases depending on carrier and device. Users will receive a notification once it becomes available.

Verizon Moto G6 and Moto G7 Play

Verizon recently announced the release of the April security patch for Moto G6 and Moto G7 Play respectively.

Moto G6

This new update helps to optimize the device performance, resolve bugs and apply new security patches. The update comes with the Software Version:PDSS29.118-15-11-13.

Samsung Q90R Soundbar

Apart from Samsung smartphone users, users owning Samsung Q90R soundbar are also receiving a firmware update version 1010.5 and the plugin version is 3.1.15. What’s good is the update enables EARC.
