Original story (published on April 29) follows:

HMD Global rolled out the stable Android 10 update to the Nokia 6.2 several hours ago and so far, only 10% of device owners in multiple markets have picked up the OS.

The Nokia 6.2 became the sixth in a group of seven Nokia smartphones that were promised updates to Android 10 in early Q2 2020. This promise was made in a revised Nokia Android 10 update roadmap released in March.

Besides the Nokia 6.2, the update is already available for the Nokia 2.3, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 7.2, and Nokia 8 Sirocco. The only remaining unit in this group is the Nokia 3.1 Plus.

When are you going to release Android 10 for Nokia 3.1 plus.

Please roll out the android 10 update of Nokia 3.1 Plus

As you can see above, questions of when the Nokia 3.1 Plus Android 10 update will begin rolling out are all over Twitter and the Nokia community. The growing demand for answers has forced Nokia out of the hole, promising that the update will be released “anytime in Q2 of 2020.”

Hey, the Android™ 10 update for your Nokia 3.1 plus will be available anytime in Q2 of 2020.

But in an even more promising conversation, Nokia Mobile says the update is just around the corner, which could as well suggest in early May 2020.

As you wait, the Finnish company has something for you – the latest April 2020 security patch. For some reason, the Nokia 3.1 Plus missed out on the March patch, which should explain the sizeable 95.48MB file size, slightly bigger than a typical Android One security patch.

So Nokia skipped march security patch for Nokia 3.1 Plus and jumped to April security patch with no hope for Android 10 update… What is the problem?

The Pie-based security patch is rolling out over the air, meaning some Nokia 3.1 Plus sets will get it ahead of others. Stay tuned to PiunikaWeb for an update on when Android 10 arrives.
