      ZTE Nubia Z17 android 10 update arrives as official LineageOS 17.1

      If you have installed custom ROMs in the past on your phone, then you should have heard about the LineageOS ROM. It is the most used and most popular custom ROMs, that not only users prefer to install in their smartphones but is recommended by developers as well.

      Just recently, LineageOS shifted it’s based to Android 10 OS, and the official LineageOS 17.1 went out officially. It has extended its support for quite a lot of phones, ever since its launch and going by the latest post on XDA, another smartphone has been added to the support list.

      Notably, ZTE Nubia Z17 is now officially supported by LineageOS 17.1, meaning that users can now install the latest Android 10 based LineageOS custom ROM on their phones to enjoy the new features.

      It goes without saying that in order to install this official LineageOS 17.1 on your ZTE Nubia Z17 phone, you need to have root access to your phone and a custom recovery like TWRP installed.

      To recall, the ZTE Nubia Z17 was launched back in 2017 and it came with Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) out of the box and there was no way the device was getting the Android 10 OS update.

      But, then comes to play the open-source nature of Android OS that allows its user to enjoy the latest OS features by installing custom ROMs. And thanks to the LineageOS developers, you can enjoy Android 10 core features on your ZTE Nubia Z17.

      Now talking about the official LineageOS 17.1 ROM for Nubia Z17, everything seems to be working fine and there are no issues, as of now, with this ROM. You can check for yourself the list of features that are working alright:

      – LineageOS 17.1
      – Source Code

      Instructions:
      1. Download the zip(s)
      2. Install a compatible Pie Recovery (Example)
      3. Perform a nandroid backup of your current ROM (Optional)
      4. Wipe data/factory reset
      5. Flash 6.25 firmware:
      6. Flash LineageOS
      7. Optional: Install Google Apps addon
      8. Reboot
