[Live in China] Samsung Galaxy A50s One UI 2.0 (Android 10) update goes live

New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on February 13, 2020) follows:

Samsung recently unveiled its best smartphones yet, the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the maxed-out Galaxy S20 Ultra. These three are the current talk of the town and indeed for the right reasons.

The Galaxy S20 family has arguably the most number of upgrades that Samsung Galaxy S devices have picked up in recent years when compared to their immediate predecessors. Matter of fact, Samsung seems to have focused in the right places this time around.

The cameras are nothing you’ve seen before on any Samsung smartphone. This is also true for the 120Hz display screen and the battery specs as well, especially the S20 Ultra that packs a 5000mAh battery.

But hey, let’s stop there for a minute and come back to what this article is about – the Galaxy A50s One UI 2.0 update that brings Android 10 OS. As I write this, the Android 10-based firmware for the A50s is already up for grabs in Vietnam not long after the device got certified by the WFA.

Unfortunately, though, we haven’t been able to trace any cases of OTA updates, but the fact that the Galaxy A50s Android 10 firmware is already available means the download notification should arrive on your phone pretty soon.

When it arrives, it will carry software version A507FNXXU3BTB2 and tag along February security patch, among other One UI 2.0-related changes.

There is always that option of turning to tools like Frija, where you can manually download not just the latest Galaxy A50s One UI 2.0 update, but also new firmware releases for other Samsung Galaxy phones.

Once you have the firmware at hand, you’ll need to install it manually, so be sure you are up for the task. The alternative is to sit back and wait for the OTA download notification to arrive in the coming days or probably weeks.

Matter of fact, Samsung’s official Android 10 timeline says the Galaxy A50s should pick up the update in April 2020, so we won’t be surprised if some markets receive the update weeks from now.

Update 1 (February 20, 2020)

After Vietnam, more Southeast Asian countries are now receiving Android 10 update on the Galaxy A50s, namely Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, and the Philippines. The update still has the same software version A507FNXXU3BTB2.

Update 2 (February 26, 2020)

Folks in India are now reporting the Galaxy A50s Android 10 update is arriving on their units as build number BTB2 and bundles the latest February 2020 security patch.
