Valorant new map Ascent leaked on Reddit

Valorant, the newest first-person shooter game from Riot Games is currently making waves in the gaming market. The closed beta for the game kicked off on April 7. However, it is only invite based & depends on key drops.

Many players are calling the game, a hybrid of both Counter-Strike & Overwatch. As Overwatch heroes possess abilities, similarly Valorant agents possess unique powers. Valorant also features economy management just like CS:GO.

Agents of Valorant have been divided into the following four classes : Duelist, Initiator, Sentinel and Controllers . Also, the list of agents which are currently available in the game includes the following : Phoenix,Jett ,Viper,Sova, Cypher, Brimstone, Sage, Omen.

Coming to the topic, there is good news for Valorant fans, as a new map has been leaked for the game. The data mined map is called Ascent & features a Venetian theme. This map has been leaked by data miner, ‘UlfricTheThird’ on Reddit.

He found this map while data mining the codes in the game files. He has been able to find several textures, gondola boats, pizza boxes with Italian writing, street shops named Baitshop and Boatshop respectively.

Based on the data mined textures & files, he concluded that the Ascent map is themed on Italy. Apart from these textures, he has also been able to data-mine the complete layout of the fourth map.

Ascent, two sites are on the Northern & Southern location of the map. It also features a series of pathways & alleys. Well, this leak does seem authentic, as the teaser which was released on March 2 shows Agents battling over Canal, which looks somewhat similar to data mined textures & gives a look of the Italian city.

But the data miner has not been able to know the release date for the map, but we can expect the addition of Ascent to the game in the coming months. Rest assured, we are keeping a tab on all the developments & will update you with more information whenever it arrives.
