Pokemon Go : Gym Interaction Distance doubled temporarily
Coronavirus Pandemic has shaken the whole world. It has infected over 500k people and 44, 210 deaths have been registered so far. This dangerous disease has disrupted many businesses & many events have been postponed including Olympic.
Well, the pandemic has also affected many gaming events. Niantic also made a few changes to Pokemon Go in the wake of Coronavirus. A one-time purchase bundle of 30 Incense is currently available for 1 PokéCoin.
Also, Incense will also last for one hour. Egg hatch distances have been halved if they are placed into Incubators. Gifts are now dropping more often from Pokestops.Pokemon habitats have been increased and more Pokémon are currently appearing in the wild.
The distance from which you can interact with Gyms has been temporarily doubled, allowing you to be farther from Gyms and other Trainers as you challenge Raid Bosses. This change also allows you to spin Photo Discs at Gyms if you are within the doubled distance.
However, it will not change the distance required to spin Photo Discs at PokéStops. Niantic team is doing their best to make the game more accessible and enjoyable under this Coronavirus Pandemic.
