Finally, the Round Table, the symbol of their unity, faces a decisive crisis…

The new season is expected to have 12 episodes, each 24 minutes long. NHK will produce the season in collaboration with NEP and Kodakawa. Studio DEEN will be responsible for the anime production.

Log Horizon franchise is based on a Japanese light novel series by author Mamare Touno, that went on to get its own manga version serialized and then subsequent anime adaptations followed.

It is set in a fantasy MMORPG where 30,000 Japanese gamers get trapped in the online game world of “Elder Tale,” a realm of swords and sorcery. Severed from their everyday lives, they’re faced with fighting monsters, eating food with no flavor, and being unable to die.

To help them, veteran gamer Shiroe locates his old friend Naotsugu and teams up with the beautiful female assassin Akatsuki. Together they embark on an adventure to change the world as they know it.
