Fortnite Season 2 - Nine new consumables (Apple Sun, Cabbage, Corn) leaked for the game
Consumables have been a part of Fortnite as long as anyone can remember. A lot of times apples and mushrooms have saved a lot of player’s games, providing health & shield respectively. Epic Games has kept removing and adding different consumables from time to time.
And though heavy artillery and weapons seem to be every player’s priority, the new consumables can provide a new twist with a chance to change the tide of a game. Fortnite update v12.20 saw data miners searching for any information in the code of the update.
Data miners revealed a lot of upcoming content from skins to cosmetics and new weapons. But a very reliable data miner, iFireMonkey posted on Twitter about nine new consumables that might become part of the game soon & will be scattered across the battle royale map.
Bananas to slurp mushrooms, while some of them seem to be a variant of the original ones, many of them are unique and we have no idea what they do. Apples and Mushrooms are old items that provided five healing or shield per use.
But there seems to a new slurp mushroom which might or might not be similar to slurpshrooms that provided 10 HP per use. Pepper provided with extra movement speed, so corn and cabbage might give something similar to the players.
The one consumable that stands out from others is the Apple Sun, iFireMonkey has stated that the consumable might only work with jumps and deploy theories suggesting that it might give something like super-jump similar to Hop rocks or even gliding capability for escape.
There is no telling how these consumables might work, but the addition of nine new consumables suggests that they might play a bigger role moving forward. We will be covering every such update and leaks to provide you with evergreen content, so stay tuned and enjoy the game!
