Motorola has always been behind other major OEMs when it comes to providing security or firmware updates. Since the launch of Android 10 by Google, most of the OEMs came up with their clear plan to update their devices to the latest OS.

However, Motorola is yet to reveal any official Android 10 update roadmap for its devices. And that has created a kind of curiosity in the mind of the Motorola smartphone users.

And in a recent development, there is disappointing news for the users of Moto G7 and Motorola One Zoom as according to the latest tweet by the official Motorola Support handle the updates are not coming anytime soon.

Taking about Moto G7, it was launched back in early 2019 and it came with Android 9 Pie out of the box. And as per the tweet, the Android 10 update is not in cards as of yet for the Moto G7.

Notably, its plus variant, Moto G7 Plus has already received the Android 10 update via the stable channel.

In fact, Motorola One Zoom users are also in the same bandwagon and the Android 10 update for the device also does not seem to be arriving anytime soon.

According to our earlier report, Moto One Zoom has been spotted running Android 10 onboard in the Wi-Fi Alliance certification last year, indicating that the Android 10 update will definitely arrive for the device.

But as per the response to a user query about Android 10 for Motorola One Zoom, the Android 10 update does not seem imminent:

We don’t provide dates at this time about Android 10 plans. We will communicate more later in the year when we have fully evaluated the software.

Without any official update roadmap, it is also not feasible to counter Motorola for the delay in Android 10 updates for these two devices.

We will have to wait and see for any further development in this regard. In the meantime, you can check out our dedicated Motorola section to read similar stories surrounding Motorola phones.
