Xiaomi really disrupted the smartphone market by bringing in the Pocophone F1 (known as Poco F1 in India). The device featured all top-of-the-line specs carrying the price tag of a mid-ranger.

To recall, under the hood it was powered by the-then latest Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6/8 GB of RAM, a 4,000 mAh battery, a 6.18-inch display.

In the camera department, it sports a dual-camera setup with a 12 MP primary lens and in the front, it houses a 20 MP selfie shooter. The Pocofone F1 also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

With all these specs, the device garnered great response from the smartphone community. And even after a year and a half, there are no concrete signs whether Pocophone F2 will be coming or not.

Moreover, the device has been under the cards when it comes to the Android 10 update. Back in December 2019, we have reported that the kernel source went live for the Poco F1 or the Pocophone F1.

Taking about kernel sources, all Xiaomi devices sharing the same kernel source have already been upgraded to Android 10.

All these points towards that the Android 10 update might be on its way soon for the users of the Poco F1 or the Pocophone F1. Matter of fact, it was hinted by the company that the next update after MIUI 11 will be Android 10.

However, in a recent development, the Android 10 update for the Poco F1 might take some more time in hitting the units. As per the company, the Android 10 update requires a ‘bit more testing’ before its stable rollout.

And since this piece of information is coming straight from the Global Head of Pocophone,  Alvin Tse, it seems that users might have to wait a bit more before they can experience Android 10 on Pocophone F1.
