The design aesthetics of this smart speaker from Xiaomi are similar to that of Google’s Nest Hub and Amazon’s Echo show. The 8 in the long name of this device refers to it’s 8-inch display that has a resolution of 1200 x 800 pixels.

The base of this display is fitted to the speakers beneath it. Surprisingly, this smart speaker from Xiaomi also packs a camera module that is located on the top of the display. The power and volume control buttons are located to the right side of this display.

The next major highlight of this smart speaker is its massive speaker unit that consists of three 50.8mm 10W sub-woofers. Xiaomi claims that these speakers are professionally tuned by DTS.

Fortunately, Xiaomi Mi AI Touchscreen Speaker Pro 8 supports every mainstream smart home product. Moreover, these smart speakers also support every major content streaming service in China including iQIYI, Youku, Bilibili, and TikTok.

Xiaomi’s own XiaoAI smart assistant powers this smart speaker. Using this smart assistant you can give commands to the speaker. As for connectivity, it relies on dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0. Xiaomi Mi AI Touchscreen Speaker Pro 8 supports devices running at least Android 4.4 or iOS 9.0.

Lastly, you can even use this smart speaker as an alarm clock, a digital photo-frame, and as a smart home control panel. Coming to the devices price, as of today, this smart speaker is up for sale in China and one can grab it for a price of 599 yuan or roughly USD 86.
