Tencent Games gave birth to some of the most popular smartphone games, like PUBG: Mobile and Call Of Duty: Mobile. Well, most users are unaware of the fact that Tencent Games is a subsidiary of a famous Chinese tech company Tencent.

In addition to smartphone games and other entertainment services, Tencent also produces various consumer electronics. Well, recently, Tencent has launched its new pocket reader named Tencent Pocket Reader II.

This eBook reader from Tencent sports a 5.2-inch screen. This display is based on the electronic paper (e-ink) technology, which helps reduce strain while reading. Furthermore, in comparison to standard TFT, IPS, or OLED panel, it consumes very less power for its proper functioning.

The last major highlight of this display are it’s exceptionally great wide viewing angles. You won’t face any reading fatigue while using the Tencent Pocket Reader II. Lastly, the display on Tencent Pocket Reader II has a pixel density of 284 PPI and it has 36 backlit reading lights.

As far as the dimensions are concerned, this eBook reader measures 145 × 75 × 8.5mm, and it weighs 130 grams. The compact dimensions and small weight makes this e-book reader profoundly portable.

This e-book reader is powered by a quad-core A53 CPU. The CPU on this e-book reader helps it to make calls, send text messages and do WiFi networking.

Unlike other popular e-readers in the market, Tencent Pocket Reader II supports third-party applications for downloading and reading e-books. You can even use its Bluetooth and USB connectivity for loading ebooks.

Tencent Reading Group’s book resource library on this device will ensure that you never run out of the reading content.

The Tencent Pocket Reader II comes with a massive 2000mAh battery and this device can be charged through the USB Type-C port. Tencent has priced this e-book reader for 1,099 Yuan which roughly translates into $158. Lastly, Tencent Pocket Reader II is available in Black, Green, and Red color variants.
