We understand service outages or breakage are pretty common. But when an outage ends up concerning a massive user base, it becomes worth highlighting. Something similar is happening with Co-operative Bank UK’s mobile application as of writing this.
A proliferation of reports across Twitter conveys the bank’s online banking – both via the app and the website – are down and showcasing a message stating “Mobile app unavailable” or “unavailable, call the phone number.” Take a look at what some of the complainants have to say:

@cooperativebank I can’t access banking via the app or website. Any idea when this will be fixed. It isn’t intermittent, been this way since 7 am for me.

Down detector also conveys teh service is going through a rough patch in some regions as can be seen in the live outage map below:
While reports continue to snowball, @CoopertiveBank has at least officially acknowledged the glitch saying:
We’re aware of intermittent issues with our online banking and our IT team are looking into this as we speak, I’ll be in touch as soon as I have any update.
We’re keeping an eye and will share with you the relevant developments as and when we bump into any. So keep a tab of this space for the latest info on the matter.
Update 1 (June 29, 2023)
12:17 pm (IST): Co-operative Bank UK users report ongoing outage on the platform (1, 2, 3).
Update 2 (June 30, 2023)
05:40 pm (IST): The issue was resolved some hours ago, so Co-operative Bank UK online services should now work correctly.
