The megapixel race is back again, and camera sensor makers are pushing their tech to the last limit. Phone makers like Xiaomi made the 48 MP camera available to the masses since the beginning of this year, starting with the critically acclaimed Redmi Note 7 lineup.

The competition quickly tightens up, as other vendors are starting to incorporate newer camera modules from Sony and Samsung. A jump to 64 MP did not take much time, and Xiaomi once again nailed the competition to introduce a whopping 108 MP camera phone in the market.

Mi Note 10, aka Mi CC9 Pro in China, comes with a penta (yes, you read that right) rear camera setup. Besides the primary 108 MP sensor, there are two (12 MP and 5 MP) telephoto lenses coupled with a 20 MP ultrawide and a dedicated 2 MP macro sensor.

The phone comes with MIUI 11 out of the box, albeit the build is still based on Android Pie. Thankfully, Xiaomi has decided to share the kernel source for Mi Note 10/Mi CC9 Pro (codename: tucana) without delaying much. The step would help the thriving aftermarket development community.

The Chinese OEM is also bringing the device to India, but we still don’t know the exact naming convention yet. Xiaomi’s Note series (not to be confused with Redmi Note) was never introduced in India before, so they are possibly rebranding it anyway. Poco F2 perhaps?

Although there is no ETA regarding the arrival of Android 10 on Mi Note 10 or the India launch, Xiaomi is continuously fixing the software by providing periodic updates.

Matter of fact, the phone recently picked up two consecutive updates in Europe – V11.0.9.0 and V11.0.10.0. The combined changelog is as follows:
