In this department, Nokia is a name to follow. They have been crowned the top position when it comes to pushing out timely security updates according to a report by Counterpoint Research.

Besides, the company is also  way ahead and previously had shared the Android 10 update roadmap which gives us a clear picture of when and which device will get the latest update:

Cut to now, in a recent development, two more Nokia devices are ticked off from the list of devices that are receiving the latest November 2019 security update. Reportedly, Nokia 5.1 and 3.1 are served with the latest patchset.

Let us take a look at the updates received on the devices one by one.

Nokia 5.1

Nokia 5.1 is an Android One based device which was launched back in 2018, sports features like MediaTek Helio P18, 2/3 GB of RAM, a 5.5-inch display, offers 16/32 GB of onboard storage.

It houses a 16 MP rear camera along with 8 MP selfie shooter.  Under the hood, the device is powered by the 2,970 mAh battery.

Talking about the update, it is purely incremental in nature and brings in just November 2019 security patchset for the device. It weighs in around 122.4 MB in size. Below is the official changelog and the screenshot of the same:

Nokia 3.1

Nokia 3.1 which was released back in 2018 packs in some mediocre specs like 2/3 GB of RAM, MediaTek MT6750, 16/32 GB of onboard storage, 2,990 mAh battery, etc.

The devices also sport a 5.2-inch IPS display and house a single 13 MP rear and 8MP selfie camera. The device does not support a fingerprint scanner.

Talking about the update, it has reportedly being pushed globally as confirmed by users across the globe. The update is purely incremental in nature and weighs in around 122.8 MB in size.

At the time of writing this post, we do not have the screenshot of the update prompt or the official changelog but, it is expected to share the same changelog as the Nokia 5.1.
